E a equipe de Itacar\u00e9 fez bonito participando com a maior delega\u00e7\u00e3o de atletas no evento, 20 no total, em diversas categorias, e os surfistas da cidade foram o destaque do Campeonato, que foi v\u00e1lido pelo ranking da Abrasp na categoria profissional.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\">Foram para as finais da competi\u00e7\u00e3o os itacareenses Iago Silva, Igo Ara\u00fajo e Yag\u00ea Ara\u00fajo, que sagrou-se campe\u00e3o da categoria Profissional levando um pr\u00eamio de tr\u00eas mil reais e 2.000 mil pontos no ranking. O atleta Jeronimo Barros foi vice-campe\u00e3o na categoria Sub 16 e David Bastos foi o grande campe\u00e3o da categoria Sub 10. Outro atleta que tamb\u00e9m se destacou foi Lucas Souza, que ficou na terceira coloca\u00e7\u00e3o na categoria Sub-18.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\">O presidente da Federa\u00e7\u00e3o Baiana de Surf, Marcelo Barros, agradeceu o apoio do prefeito de Itacar\u00e9 Ant\u00f4nio de An\u00edzio que viabilizou as condi\u00e7\u00f5es para que a delega\u00e7\u00e3o itacareense participasse da primeira etapa do Circuito Baiano. O prefeito Ant\u00f4nio de An\u00edzio parabenizou os atletas locais pelos resultados e destacou o trabalho realizado pela Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Surf de Itacar\u00e9 e pela Federa\u00e7\u00e3o Baiana de Surf de incentivo aos atletas da cidade. De acordo com ele, os resultados na competi\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00f3 reafirmam Itacar\u00e9 como uma refer\u00eancia no esporte e servem de incentivo para que novos atletas possam se interessar pelo surf e continuar representando bem o munic\u00edpio n\u00e3o somente na Bahia, como em todo o mundo.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\">A primeira etapa do Circuito Baiano de Surf reuniu atletas de todo o estado, numa grande disputa e com manobras radicais. Na categoria Profissional, uma disputa acirrada pelo t\u00edtulo marcou a bateria final. O ilheense Fabr\u00edcio Bulh\u00f5es e o itacareense Yag\u00ea Araujo se revezaram na lideran\u00e7a durante a maior parte do confronto. Mas com 14,15 pontos de somat\u00f3rio, Yeg\u00ea levou a melhor sobre Fabr\u00edcio, que anotou 14,00 pontos.
